Journeys Café by ASRC offers fresh, healthy food at affordable prices. 

A joint initiative between the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) and the University of Melbourne, Journeys Café is part of our social enterprise, ASRC Catering that creates training and employment pathways for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Our menu is inspired by the cultures of the people we employ, sharing global recipes and food experiences with the Melbourne community. We are committed to creating a safe space where people with lived experience of seeking asylum can skill up and gain experience in the hospitality industry.

We are thrilled to serve the Melbourne community from our café in the Southbank campus of the University of Melbourne. We offer a mostly vegetarian menu that showcases the rich cultural heritage of our employees through delicious world flavours.

To support food security for students on campus, the menu includes items under a $10 price tag.
